There comes a time when we look around and feel inundated by our situation or are overwhelmed by the feeling of stagnation. To be honest, it is hard when you look around and you are just not where you want to be! You thought you were going to be at this particular place, work at this company, live in this area or be this person. But what I have learned, which I am sure you've heard before is.... to be patient!
You are only here for a period of time, for a moment - though I know it may seem like forever. Think about this: you weren't here a year, month or even a day ago. Similarly, you won't be here tomorrow!
Here are some quick tips to keep you motivated and on track to reach your goal:
1. WRITE IT DOWN - However big or small your goal is, write it down. Take it from your mental to the physical!
2. TELL SOMEONE - Let a trusted person know what your goal is and hold you accountable.
3. DON'T BE AFRAID TO FAIL - This goal is something new and different, don't let fear of failure keep you from achieving what you want!
4. MAKE SMART DECISIONS - Start to be proactive and make choices that will actually lead to your goal.
5. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF - You can do it! You need to not only read it, but truly believe it because this is the key. You have to have confidence and the mental willpower to go and really do it! BECAUSE YOU CAN, AND YOU WILL!
I leave you with this - every day is a gift, so use it! Make an effort and decide what you want to do!
Keep pressing on.. Know where you want to go, stay focused and enjoy each day until you're there... and you will get there!
